Borrow your education, own nothing
Get a job, owe everything
Rent your pad, own nothing
Hire your cloudware, own nothing
Borrow for a car, own nothing till it's junk
Subscribe to your software, own nothing but the bill
Stream your music, own nothing but the memories
Buy a book, own only bytes
Your bookcase full of junk, an ornament and mites
Give your all, earn nothing
Try to be something, feel like nothing
With the little money left
Eat cheap food, live short
Fast food add weight no five a day
And even that's Government lies it's really more like ten
Diabetogenic government industry junk
To steal what little's left in your unique God-given beauty
And make you owe your soul to the government store
Even your water's stolen
By the peacetime carpet baggers
And sold back to you at their ransom chosen price
The "system" turns its stealthy knife
and even the lite is stolen from your life
Entrust your data to the Government Inc
See it stolen by its friends and so be stolen yourself
The fat cat gets fatter, but not just in size
He steals from you with silver comfort lies
and the light is stolen gently from your eyes
and even from the end of the tunnel of hope
But always remember the kleptocrats
that cynically plan and suck both ways
Are the real nothing
And that you are the real something
And you will owe nothing
And own everything
And without their help
Be what you want.
